What’s known and what isn’t
GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar’s and Take-Two’s announcements list no other platforms. When we last checked, there was no GTA 6 page on Steam or the Epic Games Store and no official PC system requirements. Any “GTA 6 PC requirements” list you find online is a guess.
GamesBeat’s report rests on four unnamed industry sources, and Rockstar didn’t respond to it. That’s why the window above is labeled Reported, not Confirmed. Other PC dates you may see online come from leakers or unsourced claims, and we treat them as rumors.
How Rockstar’s past PC versions arrived
Rockstar released its last two big games on consoles first and on PC later; the gaps are shown above. With Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar announced the PC version only about a month before it came out. It launched on Rockstar’s own PC launcher first and reached Steam in December 2019, about a month later.
Based on that precedent, a GTA 6 PC announcement could come only weeks before a release. That’s our reading of past launches, not something Rockstar has said.
Don’t download “GTA 6 for PC”
There is no PC version of GTA 6 to download. Any site, video or file offering a GTA 6 PC download, a crack or a “PC beta” is fake, and it may install malware or steal your accounts. If Rockstar announces a PC version, you’ll see it on Rockstar’s own site first, and this tracker will update.
What to watch next
- November 9: Take-Two reports its quarterly results after the US market closes. It’s the last scheduled company update before launch, so PC plans could come up, though nothing is promised.
- Store pages and specs: a Steam or Epic Games Store listing, or system requirements on Rockstar’s site, would be the first concrete sign of a PC release.
