Why every GTA 6 code list is a guess today
A cheat code is real only if Rockstar publishes it or players can use it in the game, and neither has happened yet. So any list of GTA 6 button sequences for PS5 or Xbox is a guess or bait for your click, however confident the headline sounds.
Be especially wary of cheat generators and anything that wants a download, a survey or your login before it shows you a code. Those are the same traps as fake GTA 6 downloads. Our scam warning shows how to spot them and what to do if you already clicked.
Why we expect cheats, and what could change
Our expectation rests on the series’ history alone, and a pattern isn’t a promise. The hardest part to predict is the form, because the way you enter cheats has changed from game to game. Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar’s last big game, moved them into a menu and tied some to in-game newspapers. GTA 6 codes might not be button sequences at all, and some might need finding as you play.
Before you use a cheat
Earlier games charged a price for cheating, as the table shows, and Rockstar hasn’t said how GTA 6 will handle it. Once codes are documented, check what they switch off before you try one. If you’re chasing trophies or achievements, or you care about your progress, keep a clean save from before you cheat.
Single-player only
Rockstar describes GTA 6 as a single-player experience, and no online mode has been announced. This page covers single-player cheats only. We don’t cover mod menus, exploits or other ways of cheating online, and Rockstar’s policy is to remove videos that encourage them.
Treat any “GTA 6 money code” as bait. GTA BOOM reports that GTA V had no money cheat at all, so there’s no reason to trust a page that promises one, least of all one that asks for your login.

- A text list of single-player codes, once Rockstar or at least two credible outlets document them. We don’t test codes ourselves, so we won’t publish one on a single claim.
- How to enter them on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- What they do to trophies, achievements and saving.
